How We Keep Sponsorship Clean
Official Athletes is an early-access UK marketplace for combat sports sponsorship. These are the rules and protections that apply to every athlete, gym and sponsor on the platform.
Our Four Pillars
Verified profiles
Athletes and gyms are manually reviewed before earning the Verified badge. We check identity, fight record, and gym affiliation.
Subscribed sponsors only
Athletes and gyms only receive direct messages from sponsors with an active paid subscription. This filters out spam and unqualified leads.
Transparent 10% fee
Every proposal shows the deal value, our 10% platform fee, and the estimated athlete/gym payout. No hidden charges.
Reputation system
Completed deals build a public reputation for both sponsors and athletes, so the marketplace rewards reliable partners.
Rules for Athletes & Gyms
- · Tell the truth about your record, weight class, gym, and social reach.
- · Honour deliverables you accept in a proposal.
- · Never promote products or services that conflict with sponsor agreements.
- · Report harassment, scam attempts or off-platform payment requests.
Rules for Sponsors
- · Be honest about your brand, budget and timeline.
- · Do not pressure athletes into off-platform deals to avoid the platform fee.
- · Treat fighters and gyms with respect — no discrimination, no exploitation.
- · Keep deal terms in the platform so both sides have a clear record.

What we do
- · Verify athlete and gym profiles before featuring them.
- · Surface a clear 10% commission on every proposal.
- · Hold messaging behind paid sponsor subscriptions to reduce spam.
- · Provide a deal proposal trail (Draft → Sent → Accepted → Completed).
- · Remove users who breach our guidelines.
What we do not do
- · We do not guarantee that any athlete or gym will be sponsored.
- · We do not provide legal, tax or financial advice — get your own.
- · We are not party to the sponsorship agreement between sponsor and athlete/gym.
- · Payment processing and escrow are not live yet — currently a proposal-tracking tool only.
Reporting & Help
See something wrong? Suspicious sponsor, fake profile, harassment, off-platform payment pressure — tell us.
We review every report and take action against accounts that breach our guidelines.
Official Athletes is an introduction marketplace. Sponsorship deals are agreed directly between sponsor and athlete/gym. Always do your own due diligence before signing any contract or transferring funds.
